Based on other reviews I read, I felt the need to review this item myself.
Not only have I had this shredder for nearly 2 years, it has worked perfectly the entire time. I bought it specifically for the 12 sheet capacity and its ability to shred CD/DVDs and credit cards. The motor is really strong and hasn't showed signs of becoming weaker.
I routinely shred 8 or fewer pages at a time out of habit. I had other consumer shredders that died on me and figured that I was working them too hard. So with the shredder, I cut back a bit from the max capacity and life is good. -- Works great for me
