I purchased this shredder seven months ago. It has held up well with moderate home-office use. It is not as fast as some shredders I have had, but it can grind through old credit cards, CDs, DVDs, or a dozen pages at at time without missing a beat. The end result is small shreds about an inch-and-a-quarter long by about one-eighth inch wide. For security, this beats those machines that just cut everything into long strips.
