If you don't shred too much, this product is fine. But, it requires attention and is not adequate for daily shredding. For my use = perfect. -- Product effectiveness

I bought this shredder to shred a couple grocery bagsful of records. I've never owned a shredder before, so it took a little practice to figure out the limits of this little machine. I jammed it a couple times in the beginning and ended up having to pick the jammed pieces out of the blades with a pair of long tweezers, but once I figured out that it would only do 4-5 pages at a time and that feeding crumpled or wrinkled pieces risked a jam unless fed separately and carefully, I breezed along without any problems. I heeded others comments about not using it for too long at a time and never had any problems with overheating. The receptacle is not large, about the size of a small bathroom wastebasket, but I see this as a plus. It's extremely easy to lift off the shredder and decant the shreds into a larger bag or place the shredder over a bigger container. The small size makes storage much easier when not in use. This shredder worked just as well as I had hoped it would. I used this for about an hour and it didn't quit, didn't jam. The basket is a little smaller, but you can use the shredders' extension over a normal wastebasket and it works fine. -- Shredder w/basket

Shredder is a good value. Shreds up to eight pages at a time....shreds CD's and credit cards as well. A tad noisey for those that may be concerned about noise, but again, for the price paid, it's well worth it. -- Good Value
